Pray for Bawumia; he will soon know he doesn’t belong to NPP – Asiedu Nketia
General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress, Johnson Asiedu Nketiah has asked his party members to pray for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, running mate of NPP’s Akufo-Addo, to grow out of his ignorance and realize the kind of party he calls his own. Asiedu Nketia indicated that the New Patriotic Party has taken advantage of the ignorance of
Dr. Bawumia and using him for the party’s own agenda. Speaking at the campaign launch of Inusah Fuseini in Tamale Central Constituency in the Northern Region on Sunday, Mr. Asiedu Nketiah, popularly referred to as General Mosquito, asked members of NDC not to insult Dr. Bawumia because he is not himself.
“Our brother Bawumia may not be a bad person. The problem is not with Bawumia himself. He may be a good person in a bad company,” he told the teeming crowd. “He is behaving like a tadpole in a fishpond with tilapia fingerling.
Very soon with the passage of time, he will lose his tail, and the legs will start forming and he will see that the tilapia is not his brother. “He will see that the pond is not his family pond so don’t insult Bawumia, pray for him,” General Mosquito admonished NDC followers. Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s father Alhaji Mumuni Bawumia served as Chairman of the Council of State from 1992 to 2000 under the NDC government.
