My corpse won't even vote for NDC - Kweku Baako
Editor-in-Chief of the New Crusading Guide Newspaper, Abdul Malik Kweku Baako has reiterated his commitment never to cast a vote for the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
The veteran journalist speaking on Peace FM Wednesday said he is never going to cast a vote for the NDC in both the presidential and parliamentary elections.
The decision not to cast a vote for the NDC, Kweku Baako said is a matter of principle which he is not prepared to forego.
Kweku Baako noted that the NDC is not in his league of political parties that he would share any kind of affiliation with.
He noted that his conscience and conviction does not allow him to go to bed with the ruling party in terms of his right to vote.
Prior to Kweku Baako’s comment, the Member of Parliament for the La Dadekotopon, Nii Amasah Namoale on Peace FM had solicited his votes and implored the seasoned journalist to rally behind him and the ruling party for victory in the December polls.
But Mr. Baako rejected the offer from the NDC bigwig, saying “I don’t vote NDC. My corpse will not even vote for them. It’s true. It can never happen. My conscience, my conviction, my commitment will not allow me to vote NDC. And I have great friends in the NDC [great friends] including the President but it’s unfortunate, I can’t do that. It’s a matter of principle.”
