Plagiarism stretches the breadth of every artistic industry in the world.

There have been some really inflamed cases around the world, from Fareed Zakaria's numerous cases to the most recent Melania Trump jacked speech from Mrs Obama, plagiarism rears its ugly head every now and then.

In Ghana, the most conspicuous cases have involved musicians. Here are the 7 Ghanaians who have been accused of stealing musical contents from others...with evidence.

1. M.anifest

As a true M.anifest fan, it is almost hard to include him in this list, but the internationally acclaimed rapper came under scrutiny when he was accused of robbing Belizean musician and producer, Ivan Duran's beat for his hit song "Someway Bi." Duran's beat originally appeared on Umalali’s “Mérua” originally recorded in the year 2009 and M.anifest’s “Someway Bi” came out in 2013.

2. Edem (Formerly Ayigbe Edem)

Kumawood movie producer, Paul Gee, accused singer Bisa Kdei of stealing his soundtrack "Aboa Sika" for his first album. The movie producer disclosed that he paid Bisa to record the song for his movie so it came to him as a surprise when he noticed that the "Song Writer of the Year" award-winner at the 2014 Ghana Music Awards had put the song on his album. In the same year, he was accused of stealing his chart topping track “Saa” by sound engineer O’tion. He accused him of stealing a song titled “Ewiase” – which he released before Bisa Kdei’s “Saa”.
