Embattled National Chairman of the New Patriotic Party, Paul Afoko has said the Party is likely to lose the November polls due to their militant and intolerant approach. “You can’t win power by being an intolerant militant, and repelling people.
I am sounding a note of caution to my party that we should stop this political craziness, he added In an exclusive interview with the African watch magazine, Afoko said we (NPP) are Sliding down fast and we should stop it and crawl our way back to the top and fight for power. Afoko is part of 3 NPP executives that were suspended last year for various issues of misconduct by the national executive.
The trio are in court challenging their suspension. Speaking to the Africa Watch magazine, Afoko said Ghanaians are wondering how a trouble-riddled NPP can govern the nation when it has on several occasions failed to resolve its own internal issues.
Mr. Afoko also revealed that the woes he is facing in the party is because of his decision to enforce certain reforms to rescue the party’s finances from the hands of people he described as unelected people loyal to flagbearer Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo.
