21 Year Old Serwaa Knocked Down By A Car in Kumasi While Facebooking LIVE–Mother Says It is the Work Of Family Witches
A few days ago, Facebook thoughtlessly opened its LIVE video service to its users in Ghana–after it has become an effective video tool in several other countries.
With the increasing number of smart phones with cameras in Ghana and the early obsession with the new feature, almost every Ghanaian on social media has been LIVE facebooking–some even go LIVE while sleeping.
Unfortunate for a 21 year old girl in Kumasi, Anita Serwaa, she was knocked down by a car near Santasi roundabout on Friday evening while Facebooking LIVE.
Serwaa is said to be in a critical condition at the Okomfo Anokye Hospital and her mother is blaming her family witches for the accident.
Speaking to Kumasi based Luv Fm this morning, Auntie Serwaa said among other things that, “my family witches are looking to kill the only child I have. The God I serve is a living a God and He will not allow this to happen to me.”
Narrating what happened, she said: “Serwaa was on her way from her friend’s house and she was recording a video on Facebook while crossing the road. The driver did not stop even when he spotted her in the middle of the road.”
