”Jake Obetsebi had sexual affair with my mother...NPP has hurt me so much” - Lawyer Ampaw
Outspoken lawyer, Maurice Ampaw has disclosed that an illicit sexual affair between his step mother and late Jake Otanka Obetsebi Lamptey caused him serious pains for which reason he lost sympathy for the main opposition New Patriotic Party.
Maurice Ampau explains, his polygamous father had three wives and speculations became rife that Obetsebi Lamptey, then a Chief of Staff under the President John Kuffour administration was having serious romantic affairs with his step mother Esther Dotse Ampau, now Esther Obetsebi Lamptey.
The lawyer recalls, ”true to the rumours, immediately my father died, Jake Obetsebi Lamptey married my step mother.”
He laments, ”as soon as my late my father died, she stole all his law books and went selling them abroad. She didn’t leave me a single law text book to start my career with as a young lawyer. I started fresh from the ground and used my car trunk as my office.”
Lawyer Maurice Ampaw was speaking to host of Abusua Nkomo, Kwame Adinkrah on Abusua 96.5 while responding to claims that he is an operative of the New Patriotic Party set to antagonise the ruling National Democratic Congress.
He said, ”my late father Gobson Dotse Ampau was a health minister under the Bussia administration and the treatment he suffered under the subsequent NPP government is something I am still bitter about.”
”Kwame, if anybody wants to paint me politically, the person may want to link me with NDC because I play a lot with their ministers and officials. Nii Lantey, Ato Forson and the rest are my friends.”
Meanwhile lawyer Maurice Ampau is set to end his anger strike tomorrow Tuesday August 30, 2016 in protest against the release of Muntie3 after they benefited from remission by President Mahama in the exercise of his powers under article 72 of the 1992 republican constitution.
